QUIET OPERATION

If you’re looking for some peace and quiet, you’ll appreciate the calm composure of the G60V furnace with SilentComfort™ technology. The quietest furnace you can buy, the G60V is designed to keep you comfortable, while keeping sound at a minimum.

*Based on sound lab tests of leading brands, per modified ARI standards 260. Two-stage, variable-speed furnaces tested at maximum heat output level. Furnaces selected represent most commonly installed size.

Fully insulated cabinet.
Special sound-absorbing insulation further reduces sound levels.

Two-stage design.
The G60V furnace has two levels of heat output: high for cold winter days and low for milder days. Since the low setting is adequate to meet household-heating demands approximately 80% of the time, the G60V furnace is much quieter than conventional single-stage furnaces.

Variable-speed motor.
The G60V furnace ramps up to speed slowly, instead of reaching full capacity all at once. Smooth, gradual speed buildup means there’s no sudden “kick” or blast of air at startup. The G60V operates quietly and smoothly, keeping temperature consistent and humidity under control.

Enclosed burners.
Unlike other furnaces the gas burners are contained within a patent-pending sound enclosure.

COMFORT HEATING
Precise temperature control.
The single-stage furnace has been the standard for years. It delivers full heating capacity every time it runs, regardless of weather conditions. This results in a temperature swing of two degrees of more above or below the thermostat setting.

The G60V two-stage furnace sets a new standard. It’s like having two furnaces in one: a small furnace (low heat) for mild days and a larger furnace (high heat) for extreme cold days. Because the G60V operates at low capacity about 80% of the time, it runs for longer periods and provides more even heat distribution, regulating temperature to within as little as one degree of the thermostat setting.

Enhanced humidity control.
The furnace’s variable-speed motor enhances the ability of the system’s air conditioner to remove more moisture from the air than standard motors.

Better air circulation.
The G60V features low-speed continuous fan operation which provides better air circulation, resulting in more even temperatures.

ENERGY EFFICIENCY
A furnace delivering energy savings year ‘round.
With its variable-speed motor, the G60V furnace typically uses two-thirds less energy than a conventional furnace. The efficient motor lowers the electric load during operation, resulting in significant energy savings. This means lower electric bills.

INDOOR AIR QUALITY
Cleaner air.
In addition to providing more even temperatures, low-speed continuous fan operation slowly circulates air between heating and cooling cycles to increase the effectiveness of filters and any other air quality devices you may have.

Low humidity levels.
The G60V features enhanced humidity control which is critical to maintaining a healthy living environment. When moisture levels are high the potential for mold growth increases.
